Mindfulness

How we work together

Hello, I have lived in Canada, the US and for most of my adult life in London, UK.  Although ​English is the common language in all of these 3 countries, their cultures can be very different to each other. This led to my curiosity of how relationships, culture, social and political context can influence our sense of wellbeing. 

Why do we feel what we feel? How can we have better relationships? How can some people thrive in the face of adversity while others fight to survive? 

​

Relationships have a huge impact on our sense of wellbeing. And I believe relationships start with self. 

What do we, as an individual need and how do we communicate that?  How can we develop authentic communication and connection with the people we live with and the people we work with, to include understanding and empathy? 

​

 I offer a safe, confidential, and non-judgemental environment in which to explore and expand personal and professional concerns, recognise and develop your own resilience, open up to possibilities, opportunities and a new way of being, individually, together as a couple, in a group or with your team, creating self-awareness and maximising best potential to bring results for responsible, caring, and compassionate people.

 

Relationships are difficult, with yourself or with others. Therapy and or coaching can help you understand yourself in relationships, personally or professionally. We work towards strengthening your ability to face challenges, approach the complexities of a relationship with resilience, cultivating new pathways to build skilful communication patterns and move forward in a sensitive and supportive environment.  We can identify where you may be stuck or stalled and what is standing in the way of experiencing the relationship you would like to have.  

 

I am a professionally trained Co-Active Coach (PCC), educated with the globally renowned Co Active Training Institute (CTI)  and accredited member of  the International Coaching Federation (ICF).  I am an associate of Lea_p Leadership, developing heart centred leaders, as well as having my own private practice.

I am a certified Relationship Therapist with the Counselling and Psychotherapy Central Awarding Body (CPCAB) .  A member of The British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists (MBACP)  and a member of the National Counselling and Psychotherapist Society. (MNCPS)

​

I am a certified Mindfulness educator,  certified teaching level 1 with The Mindfulness Association and have trained in Positive Psychology and Non Violent Communication, incorporating all of these skills and tools for an integrative approach.

​

I am certified in EMDR Therapy. A member of the EMDR Association UK . EMDR therapy helps to move the storage of a disturbing memory from the past to a more functional part of the brain through a gentle bilateral stimulation through eye movement. The

bilateral stimulation creates biochemical changes in the brain that enables us to respond to the present without the past interfering. 

 

It inspires me to work with people as they explore their feelings and emotions, access their values, redefine their goals and develop best practices to choose to live life with communication, understanding, empathy, meaning and a beautiful sense of purpose.

We all have the capacity to develop the personal resources needed to deal with all of life's challenges.

  • Identify your values, how they help you with your decision making and how you honour them in your day to day lives

Discussing your most personal worries & concerns with someone who is effectively a stranger to you can be a big barrier preventing you from getting the help you need. For this reason I offer a 30-minute complimentary meeting to help you make that first step. Appointments can be scheduled for mornings, afternoons or some early evenings.
